Presentation

This conference is organized by the GDR TRESSES and the IMB (Institute of Mathematics of Burgundy). It will be held at the University of Burgundy (Dijon) from September 6th to 9th,  2010. The topic of the conference is the low-dimensional topology, and, more precisely, themes such as knot theory, mapping class groups and singularities. Any person interested directly or indirectly by these subjects may participate. Our goal is mainly to bring together researchers in related fields and, also, to pay tribute to Bernard Perron, who died in December 2008.

The conference will begin on Monday, September 6th, at 2 pm, and will end on Thursday, September 9th, at noon.

The conference will be held in the Building called “Sciences Mirande”, at the University of Burgundy (Dijon). The lecture rooms will be specified in the program.
